How did you count the 8 weeks? You’re not supposed to count from the moment of conception. You’re supposed to count from your last menstruation, which is approximately 2 weeks before conception. It’s odd but that is how doctors (and the law!) counts. That is part of what makes those 6 week bans so problematic. When you miss a period you are already at 4 weeks!
