    They could do a lot of things.

    The Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Pebble, and Samsung Watch have shown that attracting developers to build high quality apps for an OS is hard.

    A compatibility layer would make a lot of sense, but at that point, why bother with the new OS?

      So someone’s petty little sanctions don’t obliterate your business. It’s worth having a backup.
