People in the Thai city of Samut Prakan are scratching their heads over a newly renovated bus stop where concrete was poured over the seating area, resulting in the seats being level with the ground.
This is likely the result of someone further up the chain, accidentally messing up a work-order, and the team doing the work just blindly doing what it says.
I can’t stand people who work with blinders on and never ask logical questions even when they know the work being done is a stupid waste of time and resources.
Sometimes you raise issues and get told to stfu and do your job.
I’m betting it’s one of those times.
I’ve done stupid shit I knew was stupid and I shouldn’t be doing them because the order giver was stupid and deserves whatever shit is coming his way.
I always to make sure my objections have an email trail.
They get reamed and/or fired for questioning so they don’t. Common across oligarchial societies (US not an exception).
This is very common in Thailand, the workers just do as they were told with almost no critical thinking of unintended consequences.
If you say build a house on X, they will do it, even if X is at the edge of a cliff that is going to collapse, they’ll do it and your house will collapse.
