It doesn’t need to go into a lipid. You can just put like an eighth of weed into some tinfoil in the oven, bake it and then throw it into a coffee grinder and stir it into chocolate.

Chocolate will get you totally toasted, but your shit will smell like weed the next day.

It depends on how well you seal the foil. It’s going to smell like Snoops crib for at least an hour. But it goes away quicker than any other edible I have made.

If you’re particularly lazy and want to check how a plant is doing you can even just microwave to activate it. put it in a glass cup with a damp paper towl under it, cover with a second damp paper towl, cover in plastic wrap except a small gap like you’re making a microwave dinner. Cook for a minute at a time on 20-30% power and let the steam release between cooks. Do that 2-3 times then remove nug from container and let it sit a few minutes on a plate or something.

Or pour it on your tongue and wash it down with water, up to you. You don’t need anything else, but it’s going to be hard to choke down without mixing it in something.

          1. I just thought it was funny that you claimed that you don’t need to mix weed with fat, then immediately suggested a recipe mixing weed with fat

          2. Trying to eat weed without mixing it with a fat would be not only unpleasant flavor-wise, it would be a huge waste of weed. The compounds in weed that get you high are much more bioavailable when they’re in the presence of fats. So, loosely speaking, you kinda do need to mix it with fat if you’re gonna eat it, unless you’re okay with large amounts of wasted weed and money

I can’t speak for other countries, the EU banned it a while ago, but up until very recently a lot of citrus drinks over here in the U.S. used a chemical called Brominated Vegetable Oil as a stabilizer/emulsifier I think? So at least in the U.S. there can be fats in some sodas. Maybe enough for the THC?

The overuse of the word shit made me take a second to realise you meant actual shit and you weren’t saying that your oven and house in general will somehow start smelling more weed-like after a 24 hour period post bake.

Does sugar “bind” with water when you put some sugar in a glass of water?

No. It dissolves in it, but it doesn’t go away or anything.

It’s much the same with cannabinoids and oils.

Chocolate is an excellent thing to mix weed with because chocolate is fatty.

I am wondering about distillates/concentrates, personally. Many of them are edible as is, as they got decarboxylated during extraction using a hot method instead of a cold one. Do they have any fats in them? You don’t need to put them in something with fat; you can put it in tea or just eat the goo by itself (it’s kinda gross but you can do it and get high). I’ve made live resin myself a few times using a hot press, and I did not add anything extra to have decent smokable stuff, but I never tried to eat it and I don’t know if the shit you get at a dispensary in a cart or glass tin is just the pure goo from the plant any nothing else, or if they mix it with stuff.

It doesn’t really matter if it’s decarboxylated or not, your liver will do that for you. It’s just that doing it before ingesting it makes it come on a lot faster and stronger. Usually hash / concentrates is not decarboxylated. The heat from smoking will do that and if you want to eat hash, well, hash is so much stronger than weed and mostly cannabinoids compared to the surface area of buds, so eating it will still work rather well.

We ate our hash at the airport in Amsterdam and then I had forgot a 0.3 nug in my hoodie pocket and it was found in the check, no problem in Amsterdam, they’re chill as fuck, but when we got back to Finland (flight takes a few hours) I was kinda high and the first thing that met me coming off the plane was a barking dog and customs agents yelling. I was quite alarmed but then quickly disarmed when I saw my friend (he got off a bit earlier as my seat was further back) joking around with a customs agent.

They were pretty intense and checked us. Because I had had 0.3grams of weed in Amsterdam. God damn bored out of their minds they are, treating me like some sort of massive smuggler for something that’s barely enough for a J.

          Anyway, eating concentrates/hash works

Cool, yeah, that makes sense. I guess that’s why AVB works too (eating the leftover buds after vaping). Gotta be careful with it though cuz the dosage can really be a wide range.
