We’re talking about Israel. The US is the main enabler of their atrocities and Isreal has great political leverage in the states. Purposely removing the US from this discussion leaves a very incomplete picture.
You’re in a tankie community rn, the Rules don’t make it very clear but if you scroll down to expectations they make it clear they’re opposed to “Liberalism.”
Being against liberalism aka capitalism, the state, markets, etc is not exclusive to tankies. If actually read the sidebar from a perspective that is informed about left wing/socialist ideologies, you should notice that tankies or atleast the opinions that make them tankies are not welcome.
Tankies support Trump under the pretense that both sides bad but one side accelerates towards their goals faster.
And while I really dont like tankies, this is just not true in most cases.
It says they welcome anything from social democracy to anarchism so how you got “tankie community” is a mystery to me. Yet another chapter in “everyone I don’t like on Lemmy is a tankie.”
I have been subscribed for a while and haven’t seen any support of Stalin or Mao or whoever. I think these people are monsters and yet I’m still here.
