I guess I missed the drama. But it is to be expected. Many people came from centralized social media, and simply signed up for something their friends told them about. For those people, they learned about federation after the fact. It is a new concept for a lot of people.
I think that’s the ideal way to do it. It’s less intimidating when you see it in practice
Rick rolling aside, what happened?
Mods tried to move 196 to .world, community got mad and made a new comm. The mods then unlocked the original and it’s kinda up in the air where 196 goes from here.
It’s especially annoying as someone who had blocked 196 in order to scroll through All and not be completely swamped by mediocre memes. Had to block 2 more communities all of a sudden.
