You’re allowed to make direct eye contact with the sky orb if you want to, nobody will stop you.

I really hope conspiracy theorists start looking at the forbidden sky orb, maybe through telescopes for more detail.

I met one who did. He called it ‘sungazing’ and was certain that the practice charged him with positive healing energy. He figured it was safe because he did it near sunrise and sunset. He was trying to look a little longer each time and build his endurance and get more sun energy. I haven’t seen him in a few years so I can’t update on outcomes.

YouTube is one hell of a drug. I hope he has moved onto less harmful beliefs.

“On” here meaning topologically coexisting on a co-located 2d plane of course.

I used to immerse myself in the depths of the burning eye in the sky all the time as a kid. Stared for minutes on end. May have some permanent eye damage, but I also used to press fingers into my eyeballs at night to see the blobiverse, and gazed into the perfect red of my laser pointers. I was a dumb kid. Still am at 35. Though my hearing is perfect.

I do question that. In fact, I asked the orb what the deal was. The orb said [apply sun burn to face and arms] and that was the end of the discussion. I find him to be firm but fair and when I step out of line he says [apply sun burn to top of feet].

Fun fact: Wang is how some jokester taught the Chinese was the proper way to Anglicize the word 王. That word is pronounced like Wong. I know this because one of my bosses was helping his cousin open her own restaurant and they named it 旺旺中餐厅 Wang Wang Chinese restaurant. I told him he wanted to modify the spelling, since Wang is already a word in English, and she probably didn’t want to own the Dick Dick Chinese Restaurant.

This is so true. I once decided to patriotically defy the government and stare at the sky orb, and then the government stole my sight to prevent me from seeing the truth. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

There’s a stove top surface in the kitchen that you are not allowed to make direct contact with and you don’t question that?

This is where H.P. Lovecraft got it wrong. The universe is even more horrifying and incomprehensible than he imagined, but it doesn’t drive people crazy. They just say “oh cool”, then ignore it.

You are not allowed to look at it if you aren’t worthy. Unlike you all, me the chosen champion of Ra, is allowed to gaze upon its magnificent form without any repercussions. And it has enlightened me, it has elevated my consiousness and allowed me to temporarily experince a higher plane of existance, during what you lesser folk call “Sun stroke induced hallucinations”.

I heard YouTube banned videos showing that if you look at the orb through a magnifying glass you can see things the government don’t want you to see. If they’re banning videos about it they must be really scared of people finding out the truth

If you think about it, free speech is about as close as you can come to a completely libertarian system. Even then it was obvious early on that having completely unrestricted free speech for all is dumb as fuck because so many people have bad intentions or are dumb as fuck. So we’re left with not being able to agree where to draw the line and with disproportionately powerful people being able to leverage all that “freedom” towards their own goals while weak and dumb people with good intentions get chewed up by their ideology influencing machines.

As children, we all questioned it and we’re curious about it, then we learned what it was and the reasons it was dangerous to look at it, and went on with our lives.
