“AlmaLinux, as a downstream of RHEL and as a community, has demonstrated our value both to Red Hat and to the open-source community at large. We’re strongly committed to the principles upon which open-source was founded and which the community expects – trust, transparency, honesty, integrity, and mutual respect. In short, our value is our values.”
AlmaLinux … has demonstrated our value both to Red Hat and to the Open Source community at large.
I don’t remember seeing anyone justify what they were doing. I don’t think they need to justify what they were doing, but only because they claim to have done so; Can anyone point me to where AlmaLinux demonstrated their value to Red Hat?
I don’t think they produced anything of value for Red Hat, but again, they were under no obligation to do so.
Red Hat, the company that is profiting of open source software, is calling another open source developer freeloaders? Rich.
There is nothing wrong to build a business on top of Foss. But it is immoral to exploit GPL license loop hole. I don’t like redhat anyway since it’s early days.
