So I got the new S9 back in October and have 10 days left to decide on whether I want to do Apple care or not. And tonight, because I’ve been so tired, I accidentally shattered my care for my watch. Should I just get AppleCare for my watch so I don’t have to stress so much about keeping it safe from scratches?

I’d get the Apple care, they want too much for screen replacements. I just got my S9 with AppleCare, worth the pease of mind. Also, cheaper battery replacements if they degrade quickly.

    AppleCare doesn’t cover cosmetic damage

That’s when the screen breaks, accidentally. 😇😂 JK

They’ve covered unknown cosmetic damage, the screen scratched on my iPhone Pro Max that was less than two months old.

It’s a personal decision. For me, it’s a waste of money. An Apple Watch is a depreciating asset. I’m not going to worry about scratches on a watch, it’s worn on your wrist practically all the time and they happen. I don’t care, it’s not a Rolex. Worn a series 4 for five years and have a couple scratches on it, so what? Doesn’t affect what it does at all. As for the battery, they last FOREVER. It wasn’t until last month I picked up a series 8 as the battery is starting to do its death spiral on my 4.

I recently decided to purchase apple care for my S9. I work in an environment where it can get bumped a lot, and even though I’ve had Apple Watches for years now I still like the peace of mind it brings. After having the S9 for just over a month there’s lots of micro scratches, which is disappointing but not too noticeable
