I’d be up for it but it didn’t do great at the box office, so we’ll see.
I’m willing to bet it did very good on streaming though. The success of BG3 also can’t be ignored.
HAT laid a good groundwork. The writers and director are passionate about the IP and there’s an established base of support. I honestly think they’d be crazy to let the opportunity pass.

It wasn’t marketed well at all. Given how positive viewers were about the movie once they did see it, they missed out on a lot of repeat ticket buyers because of that.
As for a sequel, it could either be good or bad depending on how they approach it. There’s plenty of material to work with, but what they choose to use for a plot as well as how they reuse the characters will either work well or be an obvious redo. One of the debatable points is whether to bring back the same characters in a new story, or new characters by the same players, or new players/characters/group that happen to run into the old characters. I guess anyone’s option is centered around if you had wished the end scene/credits would have shown them at a table playing the game, or if you liked it better with the understanding it was a game from many parts of the movie without having to force it.
What a shame that is! This was the best movie of the entire year. People spend a billion dollars to see the 20th marvel movie, but don’t go see this masterpiece? WHY?
