I wish YouTube would just remove it. Tired of platforms being like “wow that’s awful, wanna see more?”
Just get rid of it, get rid of her, get rid of the lot of them.
The profit motive has resulted in a number of huge problems with youtube. Quite honestly I think it’s unwise to leave such a wealth of information in a capitalist’s hands.
Whether it’s YouTube, Twitter or Reddit, all corporations that make their profits from advertising on the back of UGC have the same systemic failure in their calculus.
There’s a monetary incentive to provide a platform to hate. There isn’t one to deplatform it.
Is the profit motive the only issue here? IIRC YouTube leadership was forced to speak at congress hearings because the gov suspected them of biasing against conservative viewpoints.
