Overthinking my status and station,
My personality, communication.
I just want to make connections,
New friends, but I’m too self-deprecating.
Online I have time, to think before writing,
But I open my mouth and out it tumbles,
Some embarrassing nonsense mumble.
I come across too strong, I ought to pull back fully;
I wish I was cool, smooth and funny, tactfully.
I try to be witty
To make up for not being that pretty
But I just feel kinda shitty
Too much beer, too much coffee
