Ahh, I would have loved to have taken the day off, but I guess it’s not that bad

Four hours sounds lovely, I’m on for 12. Which means meal prep for two meals every shift, which gets a bit time consuming. A nice four hour shift you can generally get away with no meal prep at all!

Based on the sort of questions people ask in the Super/retirement groups I’m in I think its highly likely to be real. I’m not sure that putting all your retirement money into crypto is actually a worse strategy than the more common strategy of taking all your money out of the market every time it drops and buying back in when it goes up.

I thought very seriously about calling in sick for today. But I think that at the start of every shift 🤣 A nice tatts win so I can stop working for real would be really nice.

Simple, I planted them last year!

My strawberries were thriving on being forgotten - I had some self-seeded lettuce going to seed in the tubs they are in, plus a radish going to seed flopping over from the garden next to them. Apparently that’s the way they like it because they have been quietly fruiting underneath all that. I’ve cleaned up the area a bit and put some mesh over the top of them, hopefully they won’t decide that’s too much attention.

I’ve also got some raspberries ripening. They are a bit of a pain because they ripen one at a time on each stem, and I have to cover each stem with a bag to keep the birds off. So every day I have to remove and replace a bunch of bags to get a small handful of raspberries. When I move I will definitely be investing in a proper cage so I can cover the whole plant.

Kiwifruit chilli chutney has been bottled. Tastes pretty good. Flavours along the line of a sweet chilli sauce, just a bit chunkier (and greener!)

I think the" hello" person was spam to everyone. From memory the removed comment was something about finance and most likely a scam. They’ve been blocked from the Melboune sub.

It is very rude, Mr Woof has been waiting for his afternoon walk. She confirmed she was coming just a couple of hours ago!

I ended up with more kiwi fruit this week, so I am going to try a small batch of kiwifruit chilli chutney.

Edit: Chutney is currently cooking. I had a preliminary taste and it is hot.

I’m not really sure. My tastes have been changing again as I have gotten older. It used to be anything with stupidly high levels of chocolate. Now I’d go more for something creamy or custardy.

I think it is @just_kitten 's couch you are thinking of, which is still pending pickup tonight. So the impossibly stuck couch is still a possibility. Hopefully if that does happen the horse in the bathroom situation will not follow.
