Jar Jar Abrams shouldn’t be allowed near another established franchise. Some of his original stuff is good, but his writing style is always just “ask questions now, come up with answers at the last minute before the script for the final chapter is due.”
Where, IMO, a good story should start with some idea of where it’s heading. Maybe not initially, but at least at the broad strokes stage of creating a story.
