There is something very primal in the voice and the way its sung.
So, for example, Gazelle Twin and NYX’s Deep England album, especially their cover of “Fire Leap”.
Heilung - Alfadhirhaiti - definitely feels like something ancient and dangerous emerging from the woods
Comus - Diana - very weird and unsettling.
Daridel - Bodenco - I could definitely see this as the soundtrack to some climatic folk horror scene.
Myrkur - Ulvinde - atmospheric, black folk metal or something.
