Definitely all in what you get used to. I’ve barely used android (last time I had one was probably 8-10 years ago). Anytime I’ve tried using any Gboard or any other 3rd party keyboards on iOS they drove me crazy and I ended up switching back.

Force closing an app, but you should only do it when an app is having issues. Doing it habitually to all apps for no reason is not only obsessive and obnoxious but it actually does a disservice to your phone.
