My hope is that as soon as it opens, it becomes very clear that more platforms are needed so they build a new station, connecting hs1 and 2 at the same time with said station.

The curse of mvp strikes again
Also they said “Government confirmed funding for tunnelling from Old Oak Common to Euston in the Autumn Budget. Ensuring HS2 trains terminate in central London” maybe I’m just cynical but they sounds like we will build the tunnels but not the station?
Cool, lest build them then. (They would have cost far less if the government didn’t meddle with the project every few months)
Mineral oil is what i was planning to use, it’s issue is that’s it’s pretty viscous so would need to be moved around mechanically. Some plastics are ok with ipa (can use other solvents)
Yeah it’s definitely a fire hazard, and just a health hazard in general. The pressure should self regulate, as it gets hotter it will increase pressure, which makes it easier to cool down. Would be in something metal that could take the pressure. And completely sealed so no air can get in all heat would have to conduct out.
I personally haven’t taken amtrak or via (I’m guessing your in us or canada) i don’t consider traveling on a train wasted time. I can sit and read (i get car sick), i can do work, charge my laptop, use on board Internet or 5g. I can also get a night train and sleep for the journey. America was built by the railways, there is no reason they can’t make a return.
The article mentions shipping things packed in Spain, do Tesco ship through the channel tunnel?
Paying for WiFi sucks. At least in my country pretty much all trains have WiFi. Though if you have 5g in the car you should be able to get it on the train too (at least everywhere the car would). They’re also faster for all but the longest journeys (wish they were cheaper though)
I hope you aren’t watching a show while driving?
Thanks for the info
I can hear that photo, it sounds glorious
How did you get the cells, did you buy the car and take the battery out, buy the battery by itself, or buy the cells by themselves?
I hope this is the right bit of Canada
AFAIK you can host without paying, you just need an account? If not I can send you a screenshot of a city if you say which one?
I think this might be what they are talking about. Brilliant video, the story just builds and builds and builds. https://youtu.be/K4yCXIZ32lk
Are there other gasses that could be used. E.g some of the noble gasses like argon or neon?
A thing to look at would be eurorail/interrail tickets you can get internal ones for cheap but not sure if available for the UK.
A few years ago the same thing happened to me. There was someone who wasn’t doing to good, on top of the station building on the next stop along throwing tiles and other things off. The operator got some replacement busses, that I couldn’t get as I had my bike. So I just sat there with someone else who could get on as they had their dog. For about 4-5 hours. Sucked allot as I was tired, the dog was cute though.
If you are moving a full car of people, it’s probably the best way to get around. However the average occupancy of a car is 1.2 people. The vast majority of cars have just 1 person, often driving less than 5 miles which is an easy distance to cycle.
Having more people cycling means the roads are less congested for the people who really need to use them. And with less people driving and more cycling, it should hopefully get safer.
