I remember the last decent expansion for me was Legion, but only because it incorporated the older expansion settings and lore in a nice way. Nothing beat the Vanilla, BC, and WotLK era, though.

Political pandering in gaming.

If it makes sense for the setting or story that is fine, but curtail everything around some realworld issue I’m trying to get away from for a few hours and I can’t stand it.

It feels like the wind is blowing towards this…it will start as optional then become industry standard. It will be a hard “NO” from me.

I always pondered why advertising is assumed to actually work. I assume it’s supposed to be subliminal? In my case and others it seems to have the opposite effect and just creates revulsion and annoyance, if not outright anger.

Difficult to be sure, since power-levels between certain factions would be quite different.
