Looks great! How do you make the patties?
I decide how I use my phone vs my phone decides how I use it
How do you do the breading? Looks legit
It’s a popular dish in Singapore and Malaysia, and also finds its origin in Peranakan cuisine as far as I know. It is a cocunut seafood curry with rice noodles, usually served with fish tofu, shrimps, egg and sometimes fish. It is usually served topped with cockles, laksa leaves and sambal.
While still quite unknown in many western countries (I think), Laksa paste (initial ingredient for making it at home) can be found more and more in Asian stores in the west.
One of my favourite dishes of all time.
While for some people maybe not the most appetising dish to look at, this is still one of my favourite comfort breakfasts to this day. It’s very simple, two fried eggs with spam, tofu, some veggies and fresh baguette. Highly recommended if you ever stumble across it on your travels.
FYI it seems to be patched now in the latest Jerboa version. No need anymore to add the image link to the body.
Perfect, thanks! I’ve added them all to my list. Hard Off seems to have multiple branches, so I guess I’ll have to check them all 😁
Definitely! All delicious food is welcome, homemade or otherwise.
Has anybody an idea how to get the thumbnails to work properly?
I the post here it says once using the ‘Upload Image’ function, that the image will show in the post and as thumbnail. The latter doesn’t seem to work for me on Jerboa.
The only way that worked for me so far was to link the uploaded image (via the button) by adding the url as ![](IMAGE_URL)
to the body of the post.
Thanks for showing me how to get the thumbnails to work! I was wondering how to do this.
We started a new FoodPorn community a couple says ago, and already have 160+ subscribers. Join us at !foodporn@lemmy.world
Did you subscribe to the one on lemmy.world? Then it’s the same. When I created this community there was no other foodporn community yet on any of the servers (at least I couldn’t find any).
It also seems to be growing nicely, we already crossed the 160 subscriber mark (in one day) 🍻
Nice, this will be on my list for next week! Thanks!
That looks great! Got a recipe?
That’s great, thanks! On that note, does anybody know if imgur links can be opened within the Jerboa app? Maybe I’m still spoilt from all the great 3rd party reddit apps 😪
I agree with what other people said as well: For me it’s not a replacement, it’s just a (for me) new way to interact with people with the same interests. How this will happen exactly and into what it will grow, we will see and should keep an open mind.
That being said I definitely try to find equivalents for my old subscribed subreddits, while also creating the ones that I’m missing. But I already learned that there is quite a lot of new stuff to discover, which is quite exciting to be honest.
Still playing TOTK. Such a vast world. I still haven’t completed many quests so far, I’m just running around exploring. There is something to see and do around every corner.
Great colours, looks great!
