The sad truth is that none of these governments need votes from people that support the Palestinian cause. The French don’t, the British don’t, the Germans don’t, the Americans don’t. They all support the right for Israel to defend itself now, but if they had supported the right of the Palestinians to defend themselves against incursions and settlements in the past maybe we might be in a different situation right now?
