Yes, a little late in the day but I’ve watched a lot this month and will work back through the list.

31st January - The End We All Start With: Jodie Comer really carries this film, with some top-notch co-stars dropping it but it feels oddly… weightless or dreamlike. There is no strong feeling of place and so, even though she goes on quite a journey, you don’t get a feeling for how challenging that would be, especially as she’s often on foot. Resources, which are often central to a disaster or apocalypse film (even a mini apocalypse like this one) are really only important when they help drive the journey - they run out of food so have to move on but then she can hike to (I assume) Scotland on what appears to be half a mouthful of thin stew without any difficulty. And without much protection from the weather either. So there’s no real feeling of peril or threat, just a bit of wandering about that feels very forgettable.
