Glen Powell has signed on to star in director Edgar Wright’s adaptation of the Stephen King (a.k.a. Richard Bachman) novel The Running Man

    I usually dislike the idea of remakes, but this could be interesting. The first movie changed the original story a lot. They could go with the King version, the Arnold version, or do something completely different. Mild anticipation.

      In the article, Edgar says he really likes the book and when he saw the film, he was surprised at how different it was to the original material. So rather than a remake, I think this is a new adaptation of the book.

        The book was written before drones were a thing, so that’s one thing they’ll have to address.

      I love his stuff, but I still haven’t seen Last Night In Soho yet.

    I would love to see a book accurate movie.

    But considering how the book ends (a plane crashing into a corpo tower) I doubt it.

    It’s also just too dark for modern audiences. I’d love to be wrong though.
