Was thinking this. They have a load of players injured too. You could argue they have the depth to compete in multiple competitions.
It’s almost like if you blindly buy a random set of players without a plan is a bad idea.
Still, these players should be able to form a good team. In Chinese, we have an idiom: 紙上談兵, which refers to talking (military) tactics over paper, with the implication that it isn’t useful. Perhaps that’s why.

I really didn’t expect Arsenal to boost up that goal difference vs. Man City against Chelsea of all opponents. I know they’re bad this year, but they’ve been better recently, and it is a derby of sorts.
