    You could argue Spitting Image knew but my uncle was in Stoke Mandeville and everyone dread his visits just because he was creepy, not because (most) knew anything.

    As a kid I remember thinking he was weird though obviously I had no idea he was actually a predator.

      My brother wrote to him as his desire for free stuff circumvented his creep radar. Everyone else was going “why?”. My folks allowed it, my Dad’s only comment on Saville was to wonder why someone so bad at communicating with children kept getting work on children’s telly. Then again, he met Phillip Schofield and thought he was great with the kids, so…
