Most important points for me are:

Increase the minimum and living wage and apply inflation rises to them as a minimum.

A Labour Government will replace Universal Credit with a social security system that allows low-income earners on benefits to keep more of their take-home pay, and which offers a safety net for all.

Raising Statutory sick pay.

Recognising good companies as a good source for government procurement. The Tories gave P&O a £300m after P&O sacked 300 UK workers. This should never have happened.

Strengthening of unions and a reversal of the laws the Tories have implemented to hinder any collective bargaining.

Removal of the gig economy. This is a blight. I have always actively avoided any company that employs in this way.

A return of workers rights from the first day of employment.

Outlawing fire and rehire.

Labour will bring about stronger family-friendly rights. This is a common sense policy for any country that wants to improve the future of the country. Kids are the next generation. Everybody with a soul recognises just how much they have been abused under the Tories. I would add that younger people especially should make it a priority to vote and join a bloody union. People in work today are a lot more than £10 a month worse off. This is the cost of a union that would stop that happening. Not being in a union is a false economy.

Labour will establish a single enforcement body to protect workers

Legislation that empowers and protects workers is therefore key to addressing inequalities in the workplace and society at large.

A tall order to commit to for the first 100 days in power. The devil will be in the detail.

    Say the line, tankies!

“Labour under Starmer are red tories and I can’t tell how they’d be any different”.

Whil Starmer may not be as far left as you’d like, if you can’t see the difference between him and the current Tories, you’re blind.

Surely any move towards the left and a fairer society is a good move?

You realise this is about breaking up the anti-union laws that the Tories have implemented?
