Working people won’t get a sniff for a decade at least
yeah, which party is going to come to power to give people a sniff of the good life? Labour? Oh whoops, they’re already in charge.
JFC, it says something about the state of this fucking country and its history when the party that evolved out of the one that told the Irish “the free market will fix the famine” is the one you need to bank on to get a fair deal for working class people.

This is such an asinine comment 🤣. The Irish famine was almost 200 years ago. It says nothing about anything that is happening right now. It’s like saying the Boer War plays a major part in what happens in this country.
And you know to be fair the free market did sort of bring prosperity to Ireland, albeit some centuries later. They joined the EU, liberalised their attitudes towards women and work, and instituted a global tax avoidance scheme for US companies never before seen.
Amazing really. We’ve followed the US step for step, politically. You can have Far Right, Right or Centre Right.
