Such a shame Starmer has a bigger anti drug hard on that anybody in the current Cabinet, thats probably two GEs before legalization can be put forward with a chance of passing.
I think their concern is that laws would most likely allow some limited personal growing, and they’re worried this would significantly affect their profits. It probably wouldn’t, but if it’s already a business decision then why would they risk it?

You can still stifle competition with legal products. The Tory mates would just become sole suppliers to outlets selling the stuff legally.
But selling weed legally would mean there would be an avenue to produce better quality contamination free weed. At the moment there isn’t.
We just have to wait a few more months for Labour to get into power, right…?
