I don’t typically count epilogue as “the” ending given that the term means after the story. However, the ending for Arthur, if you were an honorable man, is a truly masterful bit of story telling, game design, and cinematography and is also a massive improvement over RDR1.
Honestly 1’s ending sticks more firmly in my mind than 2. I think you could argue for either one’s ending. Then again, why pit two bad bitches against one another?
John fighting his way up a mountain to get revenge in RDR2 was cool as shit especially with the music. Huge improvement over RDR1s ending.

I wouldn’t say huge improvement. Rdr1 ending was gut wrenching. I agree rdr2 was able to surpass it.
