Honestly, I would have felt notably better (not great) about the ending if they just replaced the Catalyst’s dumb little kid voice with that of Vigil (the prothean VI from ME1, who I still remember clearly 15 years later)
the valiant last stand of Marauder Shields, who dies as Marauder Health before the game just crashes. Weird release idea, but I think Bungie was on to something. The ending in my head is better than anything they could have put out.
