One of the greatest strengths in BG3 is the incredible level of freedom. I have done three playthroughs now, and almost every single encounter has been approached by me completely differently because I get more and more ideas to try, usually very different with surprising success. It’s a game that lets you pick up an enemy and beat another enemy to death with them by using them as an improvised weapon.
I’m 58, since we are limiting it to last game, I’m on the Baldur’s Gate 3 bandwagon.
My wife hates games, but encourages my hobby. I just play online with friends.
Is that…better?
They make it worse by gating one of the best items in the game early on but you have to agree to…gods, the camp scenes 😭
I will use Baldur’s Gate 3 as an example. I have done 4 playthroughs and am on the fifth. I have never approached combat the same each game because as I learn more and more there is a lot of “what if I did this?” Going on. Also, not really possible to do the entire game in one playthrough because there are a lot of companions and they have their own quests. Incredible replay value.
