This isn’t going anywhere unless they get support form outside of that group. The group has 25 members. Braverman is a member of the ERG with 43 members. One of which (Jonathan Gullis) is a member of both. So that is a potential 77 votes if she garners full support.

There is also the NZSG where I cannot find a list of members. I am not surprised really. Having to explain to constituents that you want to burn the planet doesn’t bring the votes these days.

Could be an interesting few days.

Quite a few of those groups have a lot of crossover, so members of the ERG are also in the Covid and climate change groups. They can probably muster enough to force a vote but she’s got no chance of winning. It might let another more moderate candidate in though (one that only bites the heads off kittens) or she acts as a John the Baptist for Farrage’s takeover of the party. At the moment it looks like they are intent on tearing everything down with the hope that they can remake it in the name of the future Fuhrer.

I checked the registered list. There is only one named as I said. The links are there. the theory is that they are breaking things deliberately to make it harder for Labour to make an impact on election. There is also another rumour that Sunak is under instruction from Dominic Cummings, but there is no prove of that at all.
