    A Conservative spokesperson hit back against the Lib Dems’ proposal, arguing: “What’s the point when they agree with the Labour party on every issue?”>

    I’ll counter this with “What’s the point when you just deny anything else the other parties suggest?”

      My what a suprise…

      A tory member considering his parties ideals more important then the number of voters supporting those ideals.

      Sorta says everything about conservative ideals on representation.

    Strategically why wouldn’t Labour go for this?

    Any such change would need agreement from the government to amend standing orders, which would require a Commons vote

    Fewer opportunities for the Tories to speak. Sounds like a winner.
