Russia is using the UK for extreme forms of propaganda. If you’d compare it to America, imagine if CNN is giving weekly visual and tactical examples of how America would destroy Russia when “the time is there”.
If only we invested more in the military.

All I’m getting from this is “a Russian ship sailed in international waters but near to the UK, and we think they’re doing something sinister but they didn’t break any rules so we can’t do shit”
Basically it followed international law but entered our exclusive economic zone which isn’t owned by the country but means we have the rights to the resources in that area or zone. Usually an exclusive zone economic zone extends 200 nautical miles from the country’s land. Mostly if a hostile military ship enters an area of interest they’ll be monitored closely.

Navy rear-admiral on LBC this morning said that Russian subs go up the Channel daily to noin their Northern fleet and that if the UK scrambled a response every time it would exhaust the country’s resources. He said that Russian vessels are legally allowed in the area as long as they don’t interfere with any UK underwater resources.
