I thought the paddleboarding etc stunt photos and playing dress up on morning TV shows was a bad idea, but that campaign did get attention and it’s still paying dividends. I’m therefore reluctant to say this stunt is idiotic… But it really is if the party wants to be taken seriously
During the run up to the GE, Farage was sucking up any media attention that wasn’t on Sunac or Starmer. If Davey hadn’t done those ridiculous stunts then no-one would have heard anything about the Lib Dems at all. I guess he feels that is still true.
Presumably they’ve crunched the numbers and think that making the kind of young people who will see these videos more aware of the lib dems is worth other people laughing at them
