    That’s a shame. They’re definitely [edit: mostly] not actively making the country worse, which is already a huge win over Conservatives, but it’s a shame they’re not doing more to make it better.

      Unfortunately that’s all anyone could really hope for from Starmer’s Labour.

      They are making the NHS worse, though. “Expansion of private contracts” is just privatisation with extra steps.

    It’s strange to be simultaneously told AI will steal our jobs, then in the other ear that the success of the country relies on us spending 70% of days at work.

      The word will is why its not a contradiction.

      AI is not their yet. In fact correcting it is likely creating jobs.

      It is unlikely to take all jobs. Much like robots. Its often cheaper and more flexible to hire humans.

      But their is anprobabikity that over time it will reduce the amount of well paid jobs.
