The prime minister faces a grilling from MPs, as his government comes under fresh scrutiny over cuts to the winter fuel payment and its decision to suspend some arms sales to Israel.
Or just a retired couple/person still living in their 4 bedroom family house spending loads just to heat it.
I get people don’t want to leave a house they been in for 20-40+ years but ultimately we should be encouraging downsizing to help free up a little bit of family housing.
I can’t begrudge people wanting to stay in a house they’ve lived in for years, raised a family in and probably lost a partner in. Wouldn’t be easy to say goodbye to that.
It’s easy enough to turn radiators off and shut doors to rooms you don’t use.
