The flatmates then gave the scorpion water on kitchen towel, which it drank immediately, and some card to hide under before contacting animal groups.

That’s some great thinking in a stressful situation.

One of the kids was a zoology student. I bet it was them that organized the water and the card

I was impressed by this! As the resident person who carefully takes creepy-crawlies outside, this is great to see.

“Our teams on the ground have checked the shipment packing process and carried out an inspection of the goods in our warehouse and have confirmed that all standard operating processes have been adhered to.”

Sure but if your standard procedure is to not give a shit, then you still did wrong. Very much a “we decided that we didn’t do anything wrong as that would look bad.”

One of my favorite things about my ex was that when i presented an ethical argument to her she understood and was often willing to make changes, however small, to her life.
I appreciated that so much—it meant a lot to me.

      Fuck fast fashion.

I have no idea why you got so many toxic comments. What’s wrong with appreciating an attribute of a previous partner? Everyone has pros and cons…

Seems like people live in a world where if you’ve ever split with someone for any reason, you must go complete scorched earth on them?

Because healthy relationships aren’t what’s perpetuated by influencers on social media.
and because of the toxicity in relationships being so prevalent on social media and it being fed to everyone by their algorithm it has increased the level of insecurity in general.

          That’s my theory, anyway.

This comment is fascinating. Thanks for telling us about your ex, I guess? She sounded like she was a good person in that one specific way you just told us about.

Hey, i have some knowledge to share with you:
Pretending significant portions and significant people in your life didn’t exist and never reflecting on past experiences is not a good thing regardless of what the influencers tell you.

I know these kinds of firms (Temu too) bombard you with offers to get you to sign up but I doubt “free scorpion” is one of the popular options.
